EVERTON READY FOR WOLVES CHALLENGE

Premier League side Everton FC are ready for the challenge from new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers when both sides meet in the season opener. The bulk of the team is expected to resume full training this week ahead of the August 10 clash.

Jordan Pickford should have had enough rest following his display with England at the World Cup. There is a game against Valencia on Saturday but it remains unknown if he would feature. It would be the perfect warm up game for him. He is set to be in goal when Everton face Wolves though.

For now it seems Michael Keane and Phil Jagielka will play in the heart of defence. Marco Silva can decide to go with Mason Holgate if he is deemed fit and ready for the game. Yerry Mina can still come in if the deal is in the clear but there are alternatives as well. Ashley Williams is likely to move on before the window closes.

Seamus Coleman has been good in preseason games in the right while Leighton Baines is still expected to remain at the left. Lucas Digne joined but he would likely be eased in rather than take over from day 1 from Baines. However, he is expected to provide real competition.

In the middle, Gylfi Sigurdsson will play the No. 10 role with the support of IdrissaGueye and Morgan Schneiderlin. Richarlison and Sandro Ramirez will play forward. AdemolaLooman and Kevin Mirallas are options in the left while Nikola Vlasic is the only fit option on the right.

Theo Walcott, when fit, is expected to wrestle Sandro for a starting place, but for now Sandro is the favourite and has been doing well in preseason games. YannickBolasia is another option when he is fit but there are rumours he could be on his way out. CenkTosun will lead the line against Wolves, having gradually found his confidence towards the end of last season.
